YOUTH GROUP

Hello and welcome to the Youth Group for St. John Bosco Church! We are relatively new-formed as we had our first meeting in October 2016. The Youth Group is open to anyone from 8th grade to a Senior in High School.

We meet on Sunday mornings from 9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. during the period for Religious Education Classes, and the meeting is normally in the Church basement. We also get together periodically with the youth group of Immaculate Conception for some combined activities, projects and fun fellowship. The meeting dates are usually posted in the bulletin and the related Facebook news pages for the parishes.

We hope to help our youth make good decisions in these critical years by allowing God to be in their lives on a daily basis. Using discussions activities, prayer, and service, our youth are led to make connections between the Catholic faith and their lives. We discuss topics that are important to help them be successful such as honesty, sportsmanship, courage, and making moral decisions.

It is also a time for them to interact and have fun. There is usually a fall bonfire and hayride, group pilgrimage, etc., and these activities and times are great and awesome occasions for fellowship and getting to know each other. We hope to continue these and to incorporate other events as well on an annual basis.
