Hello and welcome to the Youth Group for St. John Bosco and Immaculate Conception Church! We are just getting started, as we had our first meeting in October 2016. The Youth Group is open to anyone from 8th grade to a Senior in High School.
We meet periodically on Sunday evenings from 6-8pm, normally in the St. John Bosco Church basement. The meeting dates will be posted in the bulletin and the related Facebook news pages for the parishes.
We hope to help our youth make good decisions in these critical years by allowing God to be in their life on a daily basis. Using discussions, activities, prayer, and service, our youth are led to make connections between the Catholic faith and their life. We discuss topics that are important to help them be successful, such as honesty, sportsmanship, courage, and making moral decisions.
It is also a time for them to interact and have fun. We had a fall bonfire and hayride at Immaculate Conception this year, and all had a good time carving pumpkins and getting to know each other. We hope to do this on an annual basis, and to do other events like this as well.
